can the Wii console U.S. version can play in the countries of Southeast Asia?
I'm considering buying my daughter a Wii console as a gift. I'm based in the U.S., but my daughter is based in the Philippines. Will she be able to use the Wii console U.S. version in the Philippines? Thanks.
You could use there, but the Philippines is 220V, so you should get either a converter 110 or you can go online and buy a universal AC adapter that accepts 100-240V (I had to buy one in Iraq after someone let me borrow my Wii plugged into a socket 220 without a converter). The AC adapter only cost me $ 5, but in some malls there (as Walter Mart) that sell cheap converters. The Internet is another thing, I'm not sure if a bind IP abroad to the console to register for the Philippines (you might want to call Nintendo at 800-255-3700 to confirm) and online play could be a lot of delay due the distance from the U.S.. It would have to mail their new games in the U.S., since no American games are sold locally and if modded likely brick with the next system update.
